I havent been able to get on the server for a while can someone fill me in?

It seems like I can get on so I log in but it says end of stream please help

The reason for that is because the server is using the newest snapshot. Snapshots are progressive temporary updates for the game. If you wish to join the server you MUST have the newest snapshot installed on your computer.

To do this:

1. Goto http://www.mojang.com/ and find the latest snapshot client download.

2. Once downloaded, replace your minecraft.jar in ".minecraft/bin" with the downloaded one.
   To find your .minecraft folder enter %appdata% into your start menu start search box.

3. Start Minecraft and join the server.
   

NOTE

A new snapshot is usually released every week until the next actual Minecraft update is released, so you may need to keep updating.

NOTE

Mods will not work unless made for the snapshot, so it is unlikely you will be able to install any mods.
